According to a document presented at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, hypoxen was one of three drugs identified in a sample collected from her on December 25, all of which may be used to treat heart conditions.
One of the other medications detected in the sample, trimetazidine, is on an antidoping official’s list of prohibited substances. She was suspended from the Olympics after the drug test results but later reinstated.
Her lawyer claims she unintentionally consumed the drug through her grandpa, who uses it for cardiac problems. Additionally, her lawyers claimed that she might have sipped from the same glass as him.
The matter has turned questionable as her mother’s word suggests that she suffers from some kind of heart condition, and her attorney has claimed that she consumed it unknowingly.
