Robert Eggleston died in a Norwegian hospital on Wednesday, August 3rd, after a horrible kayaking accident. He was a professional Kayaker who was an inspiration to everyone who followed him.
Waka Kayaks expressed their sorrow at his death, writing, “Robert Eggleston died a few days ago doing what he loved.” He is regarded as an exceptionally accomplished paddler, full of adventure, widely respected, and living life to the fullest.
The kayaking community recognized him as a shining light at the tournament and an incredible athlete. His upbeat demeanor and bright grin were contagious.
Previously, on Wednesday, Rob Brown, another explorer, died after falling in the mountains while on a climbing excursion. He was a very enthusiastic explorer and guide whom people looked up to as a company owner and much appreciated as a friend.
While Eggleston was simply so passionate about kayaking, talented, and modest that “sharing a single river trip with him would have you smiling for weeks.”
He will be missed by everyone who followed his tour and explored the world with him on his social media. Many well-wishers have expressed their condolences to his family on various social media platforms.
A video of his adventure was shred on youtube by one of his fans which displays so many beautiful memories and his love and enthusiasm for the sport.

Robert Eggleston’s parents, Gary and Heather Eggleston, are stunned by the news of his death. We also would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends in their sorrow.
