Lisa Fischer (born December 1, 1958) is a singer and composer who specialises in R&B music. Her first album So Intense, which included the Grammy Award–winning smash song “How Can I Ease the Pain,” catapulted her to international prominence in 1991. A singer known for her broad, high-reaching vocal range, Fischer has established herself as one of the most successful session vocalists of the last several decades. The Rolling Stones have been her band since 1989, and her success with the fans has led to her singing onstage with Mick Jagger on many songs on a regular basis. She has also worked as a backup vocalist for a number of well-known musicians, including Luther Vandross and Tina Turner.
