Originally from Los Angeles, Paul Mirkovich has been Cher’s bandleader, keyboardist, and duet singing partner for the last 16 years. He was born on March 20, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. He has also worked as a band director for artists such as Janet Jackson and Anastasia, as well as a member of the multi-platinum bands Whitesnake and Nelson, among others. Mirkovich appeared on the albums Quid pro quo (1992) and Exempt (1993), both of which were produced by Brett Garsed and T. J. Helmerich (1993). Paul has also collaborated with a variety of artists, including Peter Gabriel and Shawn Colvin, among others. Paul and the House Band accompanied Paul Stanley (of KISS) on a tour of the United States in October/November 2006, as well as a tour of Australia in April 2007. Mark Burnett’s talent competition, The Voice, is presently being hosted by Mirkovich who also acts as musical director. On Rock Star, Burnett worked as executive producer and Mirkovich served as musical director, in addition to his other roles.
