Dominique Thorne Parents: Who are Nerissa Guy and Navie Guy?

Nerissa Guy and Navie Guy are the parents of Marvel’s Black Panther star, Dominique Thorne.

Nerissa and Navie hail from Trinidad and had migrated to the United States almost three decades ago.

The couple is blessed with three children, including Dominique.

Who Is Dominique Thorne?

Dominique Thorne is an American actress known as the Marvel Comics superhero Riri Williams / Ironheart in the Disney+ TV series Ironheart.

Thorne grew up in New York, under her Trinidadian immigrant parents and with her two brothers.

She studied dramatic theatre at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan (PPAS).

She received the White House’s U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts award and the Young Arts Award in Spoken Theater when she was a high school student.

Thorne then went to Cornell University, where she majored in Human Development and minored in Inequality Studies, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree.

She made her acting debut in the 2018 drama If Beale Street Could Talk, playing the irritable younger sister of the lead character, Fonny Hunt, as Shelia Hunt.

Thorne later played Judy Harmon in the 2021 film Judas and the Black Messiah.

She will play the title character in the upcoming Marvel movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Thorne now lives in Delaware with her family.
